Wedding season is coming up! If you’re planning on hosting a bridal shower for a girlfriend or relative, but don’t know where to start, we are here to help! Since spring has arrived, it is the perfect time to throw a beautiful backyard brunch bridal shower. With garlands, flowers, and plenty of food and drinks, we’ve pulled together ten ideas to help you host an unforgettable bridal shower brunch.

Don’t miss these tips on how to host a beautiful backyard brunch bridal shower that the bride will love!

1. Make an entrance

The moment guests step into the shower, you want them to feel that they have arrived at a fabulous party. Whether it’s a simple wooden sign to welcome guests or an elaborate setting with instructions on what to do, take the time to plan how you want guests to feel as they arrive.

2. Greet guests in a special way

After the initial greeting has taken place with the entrance sign or setting, complete the greet by giving your guests something to do. This can range from signing a memory book that the bride gets to keep or writing down date ideas for the future bride and groom.

3. Fill the space with decorations

While the guests are what make a bridal shower special, any party is not complete without appropriate decorations. Depending on the bride’s style and personality, you can choose to throw a themed shower, base the shower off of the wedding colors, or stick to a garden party for the backyard setting. 4. Have plenty of extra seating

While most guests will RSVP to an event such as a bridal shower, you never know exactly how many people will attend until the guests actually arrive. Make sure you have plenty of seating, as people tend to wander and will enjoy multiple spots to sit throughout the party.

5. Display a drink station

A bridal shower brunch calls for mimosas. Create a drink bar, table, or cart with a fabulous display of whatever drinks the bride will like best. This can be punch, cute cocktails, or a full on mimosa bar. Making sure your guests don’t go thirsty is key to keeping everyone happy!

6. Serve food buffet style

Serving meals to each guest one by one can take a lot of time, and is unnecessary for a backyard bridal shower. Keep it simple by having a beautiful display of brunch dishes on a buffet table for your guests to serve themselves.

7. Save a space for gifts

Give the guests a place to put their gifts to keep the party in order and to make sure no present gets misplaced!

8. Add personal touches

While parties are for fun and games, a bridal shower is also a time to celebrate the bride. Adding personal touches, such as photos, monogrammed letters, or her favorite flowers is a great way to make a more intimate setting and show you care for her.

9. Play fun games to keep guests entertained

On top of mingling and eating, bridal shower games are a great way to keep everyone entertained throughout the party! Test how well guests know the bride with playful quizzes, have everyone create their own wedding dress out of toilet paper, or let each guest give the bride a piece of advice for a successful marriage.

10. Don’t forget to say thanks

When it’s time for the shower to come to an end, don’t forget to say thanks to your guests! Whether the bride wants to pick out her thank you cards or gifts on her own or you’re in charge of it all, there are many ways to show the bride’s appreciation for celebrating her future marriage that will leave guests smiling.
